For thousands of years the night sky has filled humans with wonder and delight. Tonight Biddy and Douglas are star gazing at the constellations. One of the constellations in the northern part of the sky is a very special constellation. So special in fact that it has three names. Three names that have three different and very special meanings... in particular... one life saving name.

Everyone feels a little misunderstood every once and a while. As the treehouse friends are sitting by the shoreline of the like, Wyatt starts to open up to how misunderstood he feels as a raccoon. By the end of it all, he finds out that he's not the only one who feels this way. And... wether he likes it or not... it's all going to end with one BIG HUG!
When you're feeling down and a little board, sometimes people say you're feeling... Glum.
Tonight Biddy is feeling glum. That is... until, she starts saying the word 'glum' over and over again!
It's a rainy day. Biddy and Douglas are looking out the living room window as the rain falls down and the thunder rolls. Biddy starts to wonder, why does the thunder come after the lightening flashes.
After much discussion, Biddy starts to understand it this way... Light travels by the speed of Duck and sound travels at the speed of 90 year old Douglas.
Now that school is out for the summer, kids everywhere might be going through a little bit of withdrawal as their day to day routines are now gone. Moreover, they will be missing their friends and teachers too.
As summer begins, it's time to remember that each summer day can hold it's own routines. And, by keeping a little bit of structure in a kids day, it can help them feel more emotionally stable as well as having a sense of purpose and security. Routine is a wonderful thing for the human (and duck's) brain.
And so is Poutine on a Ritz!

Family Movies - Do you have in interest in learning how to make 3 to 4 minute videos that capture the emotions that you feel as a parent right now... would you like to learn how to do this on your phone.
All the time.
I'm thinking of producing a new podcast that helps parents use the phone in their pocket to make movies that will last for ever and carry with them the emotions and poetry that the parenting life presents.
What do you think?
Would you like to know how? It's not as daunting as you think. Or, does everyone do this?
Let me know.
Tonight is a light story for the kids. Let's get ready for bed with a few cow jokes, some Q and A and some delightful words to end the day.
This could very well be the last story about winter in Minnesota for the year. Well, at least for the season. Well, it was SUPPOSED to be a story about a window scraper but Biddy cut me off within the first minute. But, wait... we ended up talking about the window scraper for the whole episode so I guess in a way it still is about the window scraper. But, not as I had wanted.
Often times we listen to someone talk... but, as we listen, we're thinking of how to reply. Really, we should be listening to understand.
Hi everyone. We're really happy to announce that a new Podcast is available for you to listen to and enjoy...
It's called “The Adventures of London Velvet Ears Bunzy and Princess Paris the Second”.
It's created by a young lady who is name "Madame Friendly" and this is her FIRST episode. I know you'll enjoy the tender story of a grandmother bunny telling her little ones a breakfast time story. Find yourself at Kidcaster Stories and enjoy this heartwarming tale!
Everyone has shopping lists. Today, Douglas has a little bit of a shopping list himself. He's taking Biddy with him to get... a tank of propane. And, for Biddy... a little something extra.
Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956) was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was well known for his unique style of drip painting.
Biddy T. Duck (April 11, 2009 – current) is a celebrated American Wood Duck and a major figure in the abstract expressionist podcast movement. She is well known for her unique style of making Wyatt say things that sound funny when said in an authentic exaggerated Bostonian accent.
Tonight Douglas' Uncle Toivo stops by for a somewhat unwelcome visit. But, when you're Minnesotan you make everyone feel welcome, even if you'd rather see them go home.
You can now look for new Biddy Stories regularly for your Sunday night and Thursday night bedtime routines... and... NEW BIDDY VIDEOS on our YouTube channel every Monday and Wednesday nights.... how about that!
Everyone's elementary years are filled with memories. You young kids listening right now will look back on these years the same way we grown ups do... with fond memories and many stories. But... sometimes... there's a very special story... an elementary school story so great and so unbelievable that it becomes legendary.
Well, that's tonight's story. "The Boy In the Pink Baseball Cap". What's it about? Why is it legendary? Listen to our friend Wyatt tell us the tale and you too will agree that this elementary school story... is legendary!
If you've ever taken a bubble bath chances are you've made a big white beard out of the bubbles.
In tonight's story Biddy is taking a BIG Bubble bath. But... it's not Biddy who gets the beard... It's Douglas! And, Biddy has a very special name for him and his white beard.
Hello to you Caroline! Thank you for being such a WONDERFUL fan of our podcast!
Young people are exactly that... Young People. They don't have the refinement and poise of... oh, say... a 14 year old.
So, when our children are a little impolite, or lacking some manners... just remember... they won't be kids for ever. And, when they are older... we will miss the wee golden days of tiny voices, little feet... and open mouth chewing.
Tonight, Biddy decides it's time to eat some cereal.... Right in the middle of a conversation Douglas is having with Bruin and Wyatt. Needless to say... she gets in the way of Douglas' conversation with her... you guessed it... open mouth chewing.
Ok, so. Biddy And I are presenting this update.... which is not a story... we're presenting this update looking to see if there's anyone our treehouse friends who might be able to get us up on our feet with regards to social media. I will admit... our Facebook and Twitter presence is very very meager.
We would like to step into the 21st century.
We have a clear idea of what we wish to achieve on Facebook... but no real understanding of how to get there.
That's where we are. And, in this little update we're reaching out (...not a fan of that phase, but...) we're reaching out to our listeners to ask if we can connect with someone who can get our social media muscles toned and flexed!
Thank you so much in advance....
You fans are the greatest!
Sincerely, Biddy and the rest of the Treehouse Gang!
In Minnesota winter lasts a very long time. 5 months is an average winter. It's 5 months without green, 5 months without warmth, 5 months of dreaming for the first signs of spring.
Today, Biddy is sitting by the window. It looks like she's waiting for a friend to come over. But, she's staring out the window... waiting for the first sign of spring. Douglas tells her that spring doesn't just pop up... like Boing!
But, Biddy is patient... and... sure enough. BOING!!! Spring pops up, just like that!
Well, in a very Biddy way... she has created something new. This episode did not go the way I had intended... but, when you work with Biddy, you can never really know what will happen next.
